I just returned from a trip back to CA. (Side note: I have a hard time how describe my trips between CA and TX - do I say I went home to CA or I'm back home in TX? Until I graduated college, CA was my only home but I now have a house, life and family of my own here in TX. I guess I can have 2 places I consider "home" right?)
Anyhow, back to the story. My week in CA comprised of visiting old friends, spending time with family and meeting my 7th niece. Oh yeah, there was also this little shindig called a wedding that I was lucky enough to be a part of. One of my best friends from high school married a wonderful guy. And what made it better? They did so on my birthday! In all honesty, I can't think of a better way to spend a birthday. I got my nails, hair and makeup done, got dressed up and danced the night away with my fantastic husband and wonderful friends. I even got my own birthday cupcake (plus a piece of wedding cake - I'm so bad). I think someone should invite me to a wedding every year on my birthday!
Here are some photos of my recent travels:

Now I'm trying to get back to my life of no routine schedule. Today is a busy day of getting my last birthday presents from my hubby, a trip to the farmers market, enjoying some TCU football and perhaps even a date night after. Looking forward to an entire weekend off!
